Originally, this recipe was just cilantro cumin dressing. But then my grandpa had a word to say and the tabasco was added.
Recipes Using Cilantro Cumin Dressing
Ingredients
Makes 1 cups (250ml)
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 cup packed cilantro leaves
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions
- Combine garlic, onion, lemon juice, Tabasco, cumin and cilantro in a blender. Process on medium-high speed well combined and the cilantro looks coarsely chopped, about 10 seconds.
- Stop the blender and scrape down the sides of the jar with a spatula as needed.
- With the blender running on slow sleep, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the dressing is emulsified and thickened, about 30 seconds.
- Add the salt and pepper, adjusting to taste.
- Transfer to and straight container and store in the fridge, where it can be kept for up to 3 days.
