Cilantro Cumin Dressing With Tabasco

Originally, this recipe was just cilantro cumin dressing. But then my grandpa had a word to say and the tabasco was added.

Recipes Using Cilantro Cumin Dressing

Ingredients
Makes 1 cups (250ml)

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 cup packed cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Combine garlic, onion, lemon juice, Tabasco, cumin and cilantro in a blender. Process on medium-high speed well combined and the cilantro looks coarsely chopped, about 10 seconds. 
  2. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides of the jar with a spatula as needed.
  3. With the blender running on slow sleep, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the dressing is emulsified and thickened, about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the salt and pepper, adjusting to taste. 
  5. Transfer to and straight container  and store in the fridge, where it can be kept for up to 3 days.
